In the Morning Post 18 Jan 1820 : The East Indian, the transport appointed to convey the principal body of Irish settlers to South Africa, arrived at Cork, at which port they are to embark on Saturday se'nnight. A letter from one of the emigrants speaks in the highest terms of the abundance and excellent quality of the provisions allowed by Government, and of the civility and attention of the crew.
